The Mescalero Apache Creation story has been passed down through the generations as an oral tradition that is told to the young women of the tribe by the elders during the puberty rites ceremony. This is the first recording documenting that story as told by Fred Kaydahzinne with an introduction by Rickey Medlocke and music by Red Horse Rivera.

Fred Kaydahzinne is a full blooded Apache and resides on the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation in Mescalero, New Mexico. Fred, Bo & Sherman are all descendants of the great Apache Chief Cochise.

Fred Kaydahzinne is from the Mescalero Apache Reservation. In 1913, his Grandfather born a Prisoner of War with other Chiricahua Apache, was released from Ft. Sill Oklahoma and moved to the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation.
